It was a long process that lasted about 6-7 weeks. It started with a phone screening with the hiring manager, which was pretty casual as both sides got to know each other. A few weeks later, I had a virtual interview with three people from management. This was still informal but fine. The final stage was at HQ with senior leadership. This one was more formal and detailed, with set questions about teamwork, data skills, and technical abilities. Everyone was really nice and easy to talk to. The whole process felt a bit slow, though. I got a verbal offer about 2.5 weeks after the last interview at HQ. The offer was good, but I already had a better one from a competitor, otherwise I would have taken it.

It was a pretty relaxed interview, covering personal interests, some technical underwriting questions, and then situational and roleplay scenarios. It usually starts with an HR person, then you move on to a 2-person or panel interview. The leadership or hiring manager, a director, and some potential team members are often part of it.

I went through 4 interviews with 4 different people over the course of a month. The interviews were pretty standard, asking typical questions. However, after the final interview, they didn't respond for three weeks. I reached out to them, and a few days later, I received a generic rejection letter from HR. While I usually don't mind rejections, after four interviews, I expected a more personalized and timely response. It felt like I would have never heard back if I hadn't followed up.

The phone screen was typical. Their process is to have a virtual interview and then two more in-person rounds. Be prepared for the process to take over a month. The next round was two one-hour Teams interviews. I was asked several times how I respond to criticism. There must be a lot of criticism of employees.
