Dishwasher
the interview process was great, I wasn't nervous. The kitchen manager was nice and made me feel more relaxed as the interview went on. I'd tell a friend to try it out.
- What's your motivation for wanting to join our company?
- Are you able to handle a hot environment?
- Are you comfortable working long hours while standing?
Server
It was an informal chat, like getting to know you, and it was just one round. I'd say it was mostly about getting a feel for your personality, but they did test you practically too. Like, they wanted to see if you can handle working under pressure and if you're good at working with others – the kind of things that show your personality more than academic results.
- Are you able to handle working under pressure?
- Can you work effectively with colleagues?
HRIS Analyst
The recruiters will send you a list of questions for you to do their legwork on the interview process. Overall service of the recruiter was good. They are responsive and easy to work with though it's unclear to me if the recruiters know what they are looking for. For example, I was ruled out at the second interview since I didn't use UKG Pro previously instead used other HRIS. This requirement should have been written in the required qualifications section... This role has been open for quite some time now and from what the interviewers told me, I can guess why. Apparently if you get to the 3rd interview there's a panel interview where everyone on the team has to vote in majority of your favor to be hired. I'm sure this has to do with the company's initiative towards collaboration and giving people a chance to voice their opinions. From my angle I could see how that could lead nowhere quickly especially if hiring another person is not going to help you get a promotion or other factors of work politics. Mainly bringing this up because this is not the first company I've seen use this approach and from an outsiders' perspective it feels like a waste of time & effort. Worth a try if you can manage your expectations about actually getting the job. For what its' worth it you can use it as an opportunity to practice interviewing.
- Were you asked the same questions that were given to you by the recruiter?
- Were there any out of the ordinary questions asked during the interview?
Consultant
So the interview at Cheesecake Factory for the consultant job was pretty detailed, but overall, it was a good experience. First, there was a screening call where we just talked about my background and if I had the basic stuff they were looking for. Then, there were a few rounds that focused on behavioral questions and some technical questions, which were tough but seemed fair. The people interviewing me seemed really interested, and the whole thing felt organized but also pretty chill, like they wanted to know me better, not just see if I fit a mold. It felt like they cared about how well I'd fit in with the team just as much as my skills.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging client interaction?
