First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tenstreet.
Sales Development Representative
The initial phone call was pretty unusual. They asked questions but then just stayed silent for a long time and didn't seem very engaged, which made me feel like it wasn't a good fit early on. That's fine, but the recruiter didn't seem very enthusiastic and didn't know much about the company or the job when I asked for more details. This just confirmed it wasn't for me.

Social Media Manager
So I applied for a job at Tenstreet and they got back to me the next day. My first interview was over the phone that same week. After that, I had to do a homework assignment. Then I got my second interview, which was the following week. During this interview, the supervisor for the role was eating her lunch while asking me questions, which was super unprofessional. She asked me things like, 'why were you laid off,' and 'were you the only one laid off?'. It felt like she thought I lied on my resume or something. A bunch of questions were also asked that had nothing to do with the job. I totally lost interest after that.
- Could you explain the reasons for your layoff?
- Were you the sole individual affected by the layoff?
Account Manager
I was initially really excited about interviewing with Tenstreet, but that excitement faded about five minutes into the phone screening. It quickly became clear that I was just another number to help the recruiter hit their KPI. While the recruiter wasn't rude, my 10 years in Sales told me they weren't really engaged. You can tell by the tone, cadence, and type of questions asked how interested someone is, and I knew within five minutes that this was a waste of my time. I don't think I'm perfect, but I figured I was at least worthy of a second interview. I brought up case studies from your website, explained your service offerings, and even shared my thoughts on client engagement and expanding your core 'Pre-Hire Marketing / Recruiting Services'. My guess is either this role isn't a real priority right now, or you already had a late-stage candidate and just needed to meet recruiting goals. My advice: don't waste people's time just to meet recruiting metrics.

Sales Development Representative
The interview process here is pretty extensive, with about 5 to 6 interviews in total. Now that I'm hired, I totally get why it's so thorough; Tenstreet really wants to make sure they bring in the right people. Honestly, it's the best company I've worked for, largely because of the amazing culture and the people here. It's super positive, they don't micromanage at all, and everyone is treated with genuine respect. They also have a really low turnover rate, which I think is mainly because they nail the hiring process upfront.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses as they relate to being a Sales Development Representative?
