Sales Development Representative
The interview process here is pretty extensive, with about 5 to 6 interviews in total. Now that I'm hired, I totally get why it's so thorough; Tenstreet really wants to make sure they bring in the right people. Honestly, it's the best company I've worked for, largely because of the amazing culture and the people here. It's super positive, they don't micromanage at all, and everyone is treated with genuine respect. They also have a really low turnover rate, which I think is mainly because they nail the hiring process upfront.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses as they relate to being a Sales Development Representative?

So the interview process starts with a recruiter phone screen, then you gotta send in a project to show you can do the job. After that, it's 4 group interviews and a final chat with the CEO. I ended up talking to 15 different employees during this whole thing, which was a lot! They do a really thorough pre-hire screening. Just a heads up, they do LEGALLY DISCRIMINATE based on credit checks, which I didn't know going in. If your credit isn't good enough, you're out. They'll say credit isn't everything, but then reject you just for your credit, even if it's not like major stuff like bankruptcy. They'll deny you if you dispute things and can't give them a good enough reason. I asked if anything else mattered, and they said no. The interviews were super focused on getting to know you personally, one even felt like a therapy session. It was a really long process, seemed great at first because they probe a lot, but there's definitely more going on behind the scenes. So yeah, 5 interviews, a project, then a background check, and if you pass all that, you get the job.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with an angry or upset customer?
- What is something you are most proud of?
- What is your most successful sale?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was a bit messy, and I went through 5 rounds. The recruiter initially indicated that the position was practically mine and asked me to disclose any other offers I had. After two weeks of silence, I informed them about another offer, and they advised me to accept it because they couldn't match it. I expressed my interest in hearing their offer, even if salary wasn't the main concern. Two more weeks passed, and I was told the role was filled but that I'd be considered for another opening's final round. I interviewed for this new role, and the next day received a generic rejection. Given the nearly three months invested and approximately 8 hours spent on interviews and assignments, I inquired about specific feedback, but never received a response.
- Can you describe a situation where you faced adversity and how you handled it?
- What attracts you to our company?
- Share an example of a time you successfully resolved a conflict in a previous role.
