First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Techtronic Industries North America.
Customer Service Representative
I had a 15 minute screening with a recruiter, which was pretty basic and standard for a talent agency interview. The only real drag was that it took them a few weeks to respond, even though they said it would only be a few days.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What are three of your qualities that you believe would help you succeed in this role?
- What are your salary expectations?
Territory Manager
The process has 5 steps, starting with a phone screen. After that, you'll interview with multiple people who are higher up in the company. Everyone is really helpful and gives you guidance throughout the process. They also communicate really well, both during the interviews and when you're getting onboarded.
- Can you tell me about your greatest achievement?
Sales and Marketing Representative
The process kicked off with a chat with a campus recruiter for Southern California at the Cal Poly SLO career fair. After that, they called me for a quick phone screen with some basic eligibility questions. Then, I had an in-person, one-on-one interview with the area recruiter, where they asked more advanced questions about the company and the role, plus some behavioral questions.
- What draws you to a career in sales?
Leadership Development Program
I was contacted by a recruiter who stated that there were no openings in my preferred location, the Sacramento area. I let them know that I could only consider jobs in that region. Later, I got a call about an opening that had become available and we set up an interview. The interview process went well, and I was informed that someone would call me to set up a second interview. However, after a week with no follow-up, I contacted the recruiter and offered to reach out to the next person directly if they could give me their contact info. The recruiter insisted they would handle the follow-up. Now, over three weeks later, and after reaching out again, I have not heard back. I find this lack of communication unprofessional. It's annoying to be left hanging after being told there would be more steps. At the very least, I would like to be told if I'm not being considered anymore and get any feedback from my interview. Ignoring my attempts to follow up doesn't make the hiring process look good, and I think a more professional approach would be to keep candidates updated, even if they aren't moving forward.
- What are two areas for improvement you'd like to work on?
