I interviewed directly with the group head, which felt very personal and meaningful. The chat was about 30 mins and pretty laid-back and friendly. Most questions were pretty standard, the kind you'd expect when prepping for common interview questions, asking about my background, motivations, and how I generally approach problems. I also used the opportunity to introduce myself more thoroughly, talk about my experience, and highlight what I could contribute to the team. All in all, it was a good and easy interaction.

AI / ML focused interview, started with 'tell me about yourself', then some non-math AI/ML theory, and a python implementation. Followed by an ML in python implementation question. All in all, simple stuff if you've done ML before.

I applied for an advisor position (international affairs, young talent, public relations) at TU Berlin's Faculty VII Business and Management. The interview process felt like doing unpaid consulting work, and was marked by inefficiency and a lack of professionalism. I was required to prepare extensive materials, effectively performing the job before being hired. Despite this, I received only vague updates and a standard rejection. My feedback to HR was met with silence. This experience points to a workplace culture that disregards applicants' time, lacks hiring transparency, and where basic professional conduct is not a priority. If fairness and valuing your efforts are important, TU Berlin might not be the right employer.

During my interview for the working student position in C programming, I found the process surprisingly manageable. The interviewers were kind and encouraging, making me feel at ease. They asked me about my basic C and Bash skills, focusing more on how I approach problems rather than seeking complex solutions. Their friendliness made the experience less daunting than I expected.
