Applied for the job and got a quick response. The first interview was online and it was okay. I was told I'd hear back about the next stage by Friday but after 3 weeks of silence, I'd almost given up. Finally, 4 weeks after applying, I got an email late at night saying I was through, with an apology for the delay. Then I had an in-person interview which I thought went really well. I had a good experience during the interview itself. But, since then, I've heard nothing, even after sending a follow-up email. It's rude to just ignore follow-ups and not even let me know if I got the job or not. The whole process felt unorganized, especially since the person who held the role I interviewed for had left weeks prior. It's strange they didn't have a replacement lined up sooner. Overall, while I wouldn't say to avoid it completely, my experience was pretty bad.

It was tough but overall a good experience. First, I did a judgement test. Then, I had a video interview where I had to answer 5 pre-recorded questions by recording myself. After that, I had two more virtual interviews where I had to prepare presentations about important topics like sustainability or diversity and inclusion. It was challenging because I'd never been through so many interview stages before with different levels of management, but it helped me step out of my comfort zone and boosted my confidence.

  • Why did you decide to apply to Taylor Wimpey instead of other companies?
