First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TAP ADVISORS.
Investment Banking Analyst
The first two rounds were technical interviews focusing on accounting and valuation. The second round also included a couple of behavioral questions. The Superday had four interviews: two with the co-founders and two with other managing directors. No technical questions were asked in the Superday, but they wanted to know my motivations for the role.
- Could you tell me what the beta of a coin flip is?
- What exactly is equity value?
- And what is enterprise value?
IT Trainee
the interview went good over all review is average and hope anybody with a little hard work and knowledge can crack it easily and all the best to everyone ...thank you :)
- Tell me about networking.
- Tell me about dbms.
- Tell me about Ds.
Summer Associate
Had a first round interview for the Summer Associate role, which was at a top MBA program. It was pretty relaxed. Unlike other first round investment banking interviews, there weren't any technical questions. It was mainly behavioral, checking if I’d fit into the company's close-knit team. Since this company is really into the telecommunications industry, it’s a good idea to research it beforehand.
- What potential challenges do you anticipate in this role?
- Can you share a piece of positive feedback you received from your previous supervisors?
- What do you consider to be your main strengths and weaknesses?
Analyst
Went through 3 interview rounds for this full-time analyst role. The first was a call with an analyst, mostly covering motivational questions and a general catch-up. The second round was a pretty bad experience via Zoom with an associate. He actually left to get food mid-interview, turning off his video and muting himself to eat while I answered questions. The final interview was more professional, with an MD at their office. Even after the last stage, I never heard back about their decision. Interestingly, in every interview, I asked what 'TAP' meant, and nobody could give me an answer.
- Can you tell me your story and go through your CV?
- What makes you want to work at TAP?
