First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tally Solutions.
Software Engineer Trainee
This was the worst interview experience. I passed all three coding questions in the online round. They select candidates based on their 10th and 12th marks, even though the notification only mentions a 60% requirement. It seems biased towards marks, as people who didn't clear all test cases also got selected for further rounds.

Strategic Partnerships Manager
The interview process was really slow and disorganized. There seemed to be a lack of clear communication at every step, and I wasn't sure what they were looking for. It took about a month and four interviews, including one in-person meeting. Even though I thought the interviews went well, they rejected me with a weak excuse. The HR department was unresponsive to my calls and texts seeking feedback. Overall, it was a pretty negative experience, especially how they handled my time and priorities.
- What's your vision for partnerships at Tally and how would you pitch Tally to a potential partner?
Staff Engineer
The interview journey started with a recruiter call via an external agency, followed by communication with internal HR. The process was quite lengthy; the first actual interview, with a senior engineer, happened over 5 weeks after the initial HR contact, and only after I had to follow up several times. This was a challenging period for me as I needed a job urgently. The interview itself lasted over an hour. The interviewer was really nice and helpful, letting me explain things in different ways if needed. After the interview, the HR told me my feedback was positive and I'd hear about the next steps soon. Unfortunately, after two more weeks and more follow-ups, I was informed the position was put on hold or maybe canceled. It's disappointing that after nearly two months, the outcome was nothing.

Program Manager
The Interview Process had around 4 Rounds. First, an initial screening from the TA team, followed by a virtual video interview (1 round). The TA Team clearly explained the subsequent rounds and kept me informed about the status. After that, I had a face-to-face interview with the Engineering Director (1 round). The final round was with the Business Head of Engineering. Tally always ensured they gave adequate time and also checked for associate availability when planning the process.
