Behavioral Technical Case

There were 3 rounds total. First, I talked to HR. Then, I had a technical and strategic chat with the Rail Systems Director. Lastly, I interviewed with the Asia Vice President. Everyone was nice, professional, and respectful. The interviews went well and were pretty structured, with good back-and-forth discussions about expectations and our roles.

Applied online and then did a recorded interview answering some questions. Next, I was invited to an assessment day in their London office with 9 other people. It had a team building activity, a technical interview, and a short test. The process was pretty quick and friendly. I didn't get a rejection or feedback though, which was a bit disappointing.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted via Linkedin. I had an interview for the position, but at that time they were still researching profiles. After 2 months, I had an interview with the Manager and the Directorate as a second phase. Then another Manager contacted me for the third phase. I really liked the interviews, but since it took too long, I had already accepted a job at another company by the time I got to the third phase.

Technical Behavioral

From the start, it was clear this wasn't going to be a back-and-forth chat. They told me they'd talk about the company for a bit and then grill me with technical questions. This was a bummer because there wasn't much time for me to shine. The technical part felt like an interrogation, not a conversation. The questions were okay, but the vibe was off. I felt judged the whole time and couldn't just be myself. I was hoping to chat about the company and role, and share my own experiences and passion, but it felt more like an interrogation.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain the process for designing a retaining wall?
  • Walk me through the earthworks process.
  • What's your approach to evaluating slope stability?
