Behavioral Technical

It was 3 rounds of interviews. First, HR, then the manager, and finally the director and lead team. It was super fast from the phone interview to the Google Meets interviews. Some of the questions were about personal behaviors and lab techniques. The only issue was during the compensation stage. Negotiating salary was tough and at times I felt like I should just take my other job offers.

Behavioral Presentation

It started with a standard HR screen and then a manager screen. After that, I was asked to give a presentation about a project I worked on and share the lessons I learned. This preparation took several days. They mentioned other candidates would also do the same. Honestly, I felt it was a waste of time because I didn't get the job. They told me after the presentation step that I didn't have the right experience. They should have informed me before or done a better job pre-screening me.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a 30-minute phone call. The following week, I had a second interview via Zoom with the department's supervisor and manager, which lasted about 30-45 minutes. While the initial phone interview went well, the Zoom interview felt a bit off, and the manager seemed somewhat irritated by the interview commitment. I asked some questions to gauge the work environment, and their responses didn't convey a very welcoming or enthusiastic vibe. I received an offer the same day as the second interview but decided to decline it.

Presentation Coding Technical

The interview process began with a recruiter screen, followed by an engineer phone screen. Then, I had a phone call with a recruiter to discuss the programming challenge, after which a coding challenge was scheduled. The process concluded with an onsite interview and an offer the very next day. There was a little bit of miscommunication with the recruiter and the senior HR person who made the offer; both called much earlier than scheduled, which threw me off. However, everyone else was really nice and sharp. I also got the coding challenge a full 24 hours ahead of time, which was a bit strange and confusing.
