Behavioral Presentation

The interview was a live Zoom call with the host and other applicants. We got an orientation about the company, its pace, structure, expectations, and guidelines. It's a 1099 independent contractor role. You have to pay for your own life and health insurance exam, but they provide a discount code for prep courses in your state. After the first interview where questions were asked, candidates who seemed like a good fit were offered a second, individual interview with the host. I had this second interview and received a job offer. The job can only start after I pass my exam and get my state license.

The interviewers were nice and talked well, but they were misleading about what it would take to get through the training needed to start earning money. They made it seem like the only expenses would be the class and the test for licensing. However, there were actually 3 classes, a test, a background check, and a license fee, all of which were required before I could even start the onboarding process with the company.

I applied online via LinkedIn and got an email pretty fast to set up a Zoom interview. It was a group thing, about 30 minutes long, where the hiring manager talked up the company. After that, they sent a Calendly link to schedule a one-on-one call for later, but I never actually got a call. I even tried texting and emailing them, but no response back. Really unprofessional.

You begin by sending in your application, resume, cover letter, and anything else they ask for. Then, they check applications to see who fits the basics. There might be an initial interview, like over the phone or video, to see if you're generally qualified and interested. Some jobs might have you do tests to check specific skills. If you do well, you might get an in-person interview to talk more about your background and if you'd fit in. For tougher jobs, there could be more interviews, maybe with bosses or higher-ups. They'll probably call your references too, to check your history. If everything looks good, you'll get an offer or admission. You can then talk about the offer, like salary, before deciding to accept.
