- Pay attention during the initial interview to gauge your interest in the role.
Insurance Agent
It was pretty straightforward. I sent in my application online and then watched some videos. After that, I set up a group interview. The person interviewing me talked about the company's history and what they're looking for in a candidate.
- Are you licensed?
Insurance Agent
A recruiter contacted me about a job posting. We had a phone call where she qualified me. Then, a manager was supposed to call. I was assigned a specific date and time for this call, and the recruiter sent me some links to review beforehand. The manager called as scheduled. He immediately asked if I was ready to proceed. When I indicated I wasn't quite ready, he lectured me about not being sure and said they didn't want someone who wasn't committed. He also demanded to know which other company I was interviewing with. I found his demeanor to be very pressured. I was actually interested in this company and called him back a day later as he requested, leaving a message. He didn't return my call until six days later. This was too long, and I had already moved on and was no longer interested. He then had his assistant send me the paperwork without any further discussion. I sensed he was under immense pressure, which affected his professionalism and reflected poorly on the company.
- I had some questions about the website and wanted clarification on a few points.
