The interview process was generally okay and went smoothly. The interviewer explained the role and asked questions related to my experience and skills. Overall, the atmosphere was professional. However, one moment during the interview made me feel uncertain. When I asked about the company’s working hours, the director responded by asking whether it mattered to me. I felt slightly uncomfortable with this response because asking about working hours is a normal and reasonable question, especially since I am currently employed and need to understand how the schedule would affect my work–life balance. As a candidate, I believe it is my right to have clarity on working conditions before making any decision. This interaction left me unsure about the company’s expectations and culture, even though the rest of the interview was acceptable.

The interview process with SJ was really chill and conversational, mostly about your background and personality. They might also tell you about the project you'd be working on if they hire you. It was a friendly and casual vibe, not technical or stressful at all.

It was a single panel interview with people from SJ and PA. They seemed tired but were polite and professional. The interview had standard questions, plus some asking my thoughts on their business stuff and products. They also had a quick role-play for giving tours. HR took about 6 weeks to get back, but then wanted a super fast decision. This part was annoying even though the interview itself was okay.

Technical Behavioral

I recently interviewed with this company and it was a disappointing experience. The interviewers seemed more focused on finding faults rather than assessing my skills constructively. The overall tone was discouraging and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I think interviews should be professional and aimed at assessing a candidate's potential and fit, but this felt unprofessional and unfair. I hope Surbana Jurong uses this feedback to create a more respectful interview environment.
