First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SuperValu Ireland.
Sales Assistant
The interview process had pretty standard questions about what you would do in certain situations, like customer requests or disputes. We also talked through my experience and knowledge in my Cv. They discussed availability for work hours and types of work that would be covered.
- Can you share an instance where you delivered excellent customer support?
- Describe how you'd handle specific customer requests.
- How would you manage particular customer disputes?
Team Leader
The interview was really good, and I felt comfortable throughout. The interviewers were professional and nice. If you prepare well beforehand and feel confident on the interview day, you should do great in the process.
- Can you tell me about your leadership skills and give an example of a time you applied them?
- What were the positive outcomes of applying your leadership skills in that situation?
Shop Assistant
I submitted my CV to Supervalu and got a call a few days later for an interview. It was in person with three managers. They went over my CV and asked me scenario questions like "if a situation arose where a customer was becoming aggravated, what would be your course of action?". The interview lasted about 10 minutes. The next day, I got another call offering me the role.
- What would you do if a customer became angry?
Cashier Barista
It was a super easy interview process, about 10 minutes long. They asked about my biggest strengths and weaknesses, and my time commitment. After I was hired, I also had to make a coffee and take an order, but that was post-hiring. No problem-solving questions at all.
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
- What are your greatest strengths?
- What is your availability and commitment level?
