Estimator
The hiring process was really smooth. The management team is friendly and easy to talk to. They make an effort to support the team and make sure everyone feels like they matter. A big part of their process is making sure new people fit in well, not just with the job itself, but also with the team's vibe. It all adds up to a good and welcoming place where people can do well.
- Can you list five trades you are most comfortable with?
IT Analyst
It started with a phone screening, followed by an in-person behavioral interview. The onsite was about an hour and a half and I met with three team members. They asked general behavioral questions, a few of which had a slight technical aspect, probing my IT knowledge. No coding was involved in the technical part.
- Can you share a challenge you encountered and explain how you dealt with it?
- Tell me about a challenge you faced and how you overcame it.
- Describe a difficult situation you encountered and your approach to resolving it.
Safety Manager
Had a phone chat with a recruiter who tried to get a feel for my 30 years of experience in just 12 minutes. It didn't make me want to continue the conversation or stay interested in the company or the job. If they had offered me the position then, I would have rejected it. Given that this person was the first point of contact and this is how the company culture seems, I'll keep looking elsewhere.
- Can you tell me about a role you held 16 years ago and explain why you are no longer working there?
Project Engineer
I got a call from HR first for a quick screening, which was great. She knew all the answers and made me really want to join the company. Then, I had a Teams meeting with the Director of the Career Start Program, and that went just as well. After that, they flew me out to West Palm Beach. They had a half-day planned to introduce the company, including three 30-minute interviews. All the interviews felt like real conversations, and the people interviewing me were part of the construction team, not just managers. Everyone seemed to really believe in the company, and it was a great experience overall.
- How would you handle telling a coworker bad news?
