It was a pretty easy interview process with fairly asked questions about how you work under pressure and on a team. I went in for an interview and was hired within the week. After that, there were 4 days of training before starting my first official day.

I was approached and went through a series of phone calls and 3 personal interviews over a 4 month period. Then I did a shift shadow and had one last personal interview where they made me an offer. It took so long because of me. After the first interviews, I had gotten a promotion at my then-company. They contacted me again months later and I looked deeper into this opportunity and the company's future. This caused me to rethink. After spending time on a shadow shift, I saw the job in a new light and realized how much more I would enjoy this. I accepted the offer. In a normal situation, it would have taken much less time.

It was a really good experience with a group of leaders who were engaged, thoughtful, and caring. They asked me industry-specific questions about my past experiences, including both successes and failures, as well as my insights and personal career goals. I met with each executive leader to make sure I would be a good cultural fit and could collaborate well across different teams. They really emphasized that experience in exhibiting is important for this role and a genuine love for film is a must-have quality.

It was more of an informational session for the hiring manager to scope out how they wanted to set up the Marketing and Events department. I was asked to share my vision for how the department should be shaped and operated, but ultimately, they hired someone else I recommended for the role.
