Art Director
I went through a two-round interview process for this job. They gave us a lot of info about the company itself, but not really about the actual role, so it was kind of unclear what the job entailed. It felt like the hiring team hadn't really prepared much, as they didn't seem to have reviewed the materials beforehand. The interviews were mostly behavioral questions, and there wasn't really time for us to ask questions or see if it was a good fit. It would have been better if they'd given us the behavioral questions in advance so we could have given more thoughtful answers and had a better conversation. In the end, it seemed like they weren't even sure about the position themselves, because the job got posted again with a different title. While I appreciated the company info, the lack of role clarity, the team's lack of preparation, and the rigid interview format made it a really frustrating experience.
- Can you describe a situation where you encountered a workplace conflict?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was just okay and could have been better. There was a lot of lag in communication between the second and third rounds. The third round, which was a panel interview, was really long with no breaks, and they were drilling me with questions. One interviewer kept asking me about my resume details, like my timeline at a particular job, even though it was already clearly stated. The HRL felt cold and disinterested. Also, the panel didn't seem very diverse – three white women and one Black woman interviewing me, a Black woman.
- How would you align your work with our mission?
- Describe a time you made a mistake at work and how you resolved it.
Quality Assurance Engineer
The interview process was kinda long, but it went pretty smoothly. It kicked off with a recruiter phone call, which was pretty standard. Then, there was about a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. It felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interview, which was cool. After that, I had three 1-hour panel interviews, each with two people. They focused on situational questions to understand how I handle different scenarios. I did two of these interviews one day and the last one the next day. Even though they were an hour each, they flew by; it really felt like I was just chatting with folks.
- Can you describe a time you had a difficult situation with a developer and how you managed it?
- Tell me about a time you introduced a new change or process to your team and how it was received.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Physical Security Manager
I had a couple of phone calls with the recruiter. Then I interviewed with the department head(s) for about thirty minutes. After that, there was a three-hour panel interview, with two different people each hour. Overall, the interview process was pretty nice and they were really on time for appointments. They really drilled down on company culture, almost obsessively. Their website has a lot of testimonials and community stuff, but it's hard to tell what they actually do. If you had to look them up and say what kind of company they are, you'd struggle. I was happy with the whole thing until the end, then I got ghosted and had to find out myself I didn't get the job. For all the interviews, a little common courtesy for a yes or no would have been nice.
- Can you describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a team member?
- Tell me about a time you experienced failure.
- Provide an example of a time you had to take the lead for a team.
