Executive Assistant
The interview process was just okay and could have been better. There was a lot of lag in communication between the second and third rounds. The third round, which was a panel interview, was really long with no breaks, and they were drilling me with questions. One interviewer kept asking me about my resume details, like my timeline at a particular job, even though it was already clearly stated. The HRL felt cold and disinterested. Also, the panel didn't seem very diverse – three white women and one Black woman interviewing me, a Black woman.
- How would you align your work with our mission?
- Describe a time you made a mistake at work and how you resolved it.
Executive Assistant
First, I had an initial screen with a recruiter, and then a video interview with two team members. The recruiter and one of the hiring members were nice, but the other person was not remotely interested in what I was saying. It kind of almost felt that she couldn't be bothered to continue with the interview and kept referring to her colleague to ask questions. At one point she yawned while I was answering a question. She finally asked a question about scheduling conflicts and what I would do, and when I felt like I gave her a strong answer, she said, "Let me reword this question because I am looking for something specific." I feel like that is problematic if you are looking for specific answers because you are not willing give someone a chance to perform but rather have them work like a robot to fit your expectations and needs. I also obviously have never worked for the organization or under her so I would not have a clue what her expectations were. Thank goodness I didn't get the job.
- How would you deal with a scheduling conflict?
Administrative Assistant
There were three interviews total. You first speak with a recruiter, then you meet with two Executive Assistants, and finally, you'll talk with two members of the team you'd be working with. Make sure to research the company's values, as the questions will relate to them.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a problem and describe how you resolved it?
