First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Squire Patton Boggs.
IT Analyst
So I went through the interview process for an IT Support Analyst position, it took about 3 weeks and had a few interview rounds. The team was professional, but honestly the whole thing was pretty frustrating because of scheduling and how they communicated. My last interview got canceled last minute because of internal scheduling issues, and they said they'd call me later that week. I waited, heard nothing, and had to chase them myself. That's when they told me they'd already picked someone else. I get that decisions can change, but better communication and faster updates would've really helped. Candidates put a lot of time and effort into these multi-round interviews, and a more organized and open process would make it way better.

Legal Assistant
I had a virtual interview with senior leadership and one team member. It was competency-based, and they seemed to stick to a list of questions instead of having a real conversation. I felt it went poorly because the interviewer didn't seem interested in building rapport and was just focused on getting through their questions, but I did get an offer in the end.

Associate
My recent job interview was truly outstanding. The company's team went above and beyond to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The questions they asked were not only relevant but also thought-provoking, allowing me to showcase my skills and experience effectively. Their genuine interest in getting to know me made me feel valued as a potential team member. This interview left me with a strong sense of enthusiasm for the role and the organization as a whole. It's clear that this company cares about its employees, and I'm excited about the prospect of joining such a positive and dynamic work environment.

Vacation Scheme
After an open day at SPB, I got a phone call inviting me to interview for their vacation scheme. First up was an online interview with basic questions like why I wanted a law career. Then, I had an in-person interview that had two parts. I was first given a news article to present on, and the interviewers kept interrupting with questions to put me on the spot. After that, I had a more casual chat with a partner and an associate. Even though it was relaxed, they asked about things I'd said and probed my CV.
