Workforce Advisory Consultant
I had a phone interview without prior coordination, although it was more than just a basic screening. It turned into a full interview where they asked about my professional experience, challenges, knowledge, and expectations. They also provided details about the position, the area's objectives, and the compensation package. Following that, I received an email with questions to develop, which required a significant time investment. They mentioned they would evaluate these responses to present to the client and arrange the next interview. Although there wasn't a strict deadline, they called the next morning to request the answers, which I sent by midday. After a few days, I emailed to confirm receipt, and they replied they were evaluating and would provide an update that week. They never contacted me again. After almost a month with no response, I wrote again, but never received any feedback.
- Could you tell me about your professional experience?
- What challenges have you faced?
- What are your knowledge areas?
Technical Sales Representative
The interview process involved a first phone call and then a second meeting via Teams. I felt very comfortable during the interviews, and they showed genuine interest in my background and aspirations, beyond just this specific job opening. Also, all my questions were welcomed and I got satisfactory answers.
- Can you talk about yourself?
- What are your career aspirations?
- Could you explain the reasons behind your past decisions?
Consultant
First, a 35-minute phone call where everything was great regarding salary expectations. Second, a 1-hour video call with the agency's N+2. During this interview, the salary decreased compared to the first one, but they needed to confirm. Third, a 1-hour video call with the regional director where they asked the exact same things as in the previous two interviews. They briefly mentioned the company car as a benefit (they didn't say it's at the end of the contract) and the variable pay explanation was vague, but you'll only get the papers after resigning. Fourth, an interview at the agency with the N+2 who asked the same questions again and wanted to be convinced to hire you because she had doubts.
- Can you persuade me that you will be comfortable in a commercial role?
Recruiter
Had two initial Teams interviews, but the recruiter didn't ask any formal questions, mostly talking about the company and the role. The recruiter informed me in advance about the third interview's structure, but on the day, nothing was followed. The third interview with the Geneva team was disastrous; some team members were uninterested, laughed among themselves, were cold, didn't ask me any questions, and then criticized me for not asking questions. The team is mostly foreign but looks down on candidates. Get off your high horse and remember where you came from. Be more empathetic and welcoming to candidates! It felt like the interview wasn't prepared, and I felt disrespected.
