First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spin Master.
Mechanical Engineer
I went through the first stage of the interview process. My skills and experience didn't match what they were looking for, so I wasn't chosen to proceed further. The conversation was enjoyable and positive, and I got the sense that it would be a fun company to work for. It seems like a competitive interview/application process.
- Can you describe your experience with CAD for products and tooling?
Accounts Receivable Specialist
I had an interview with the corporate recruiter. I was recently let go from a 5 1/2 year stint with a company, and this was one of the first I interviewed with in 2025. The recruiter did not like my CV from Indeed and I had since updated it with help with an AI web site and shortened it to two pages. After the interview I received a same day email/boiler plate in very small hard to read text that I wasn't what they were looking for. I remember seeing more senior finance roles ranging from mid level manager to vice president after the interview. From what I can tell, they are implementing SAP S/4 Hannah and the senior finance team is in flux.

Consumer Care
The interview process for the Consumer Care role at Spin Master was just alright. The questions asked were pretty straightforward, but nothing really difficult or special. The main thing that was annoying was how long everything took, with lots of waiting time between different steps and getting updates. All in all, it felt like a slow and drawn-out experience.
- Can you share some of your basic customer service experiences?
- Tell me about how you would handle these customer service scenarios.
Finance Analyst, Operations
This was the worst interview I have ever had - not because of a lack of knowledge or lack of preparation but because of a rude and obnoxious interviewer, with initials AA. This individual was not letting me speak after asking interview questions. Firstly, to each question, he kept saying "Answer in three words", or "three adjectives". Really?! I thought an interview was a medium to elaborate on answers. Secondly, on the question of weaknesses he wanted to talk over me and tell him how it was a weakness. He was like “None of my Colleagues will think of this as a weakness”. Finally, I said we can have a difference of opinion and he was like "NO! Convince me this is a weakness!" in a rude condescending way. At this point, I literally excused myself from this interview and consideration for this position just because the interviewer, did not have the decent courtesy to listen after asking an interview question. He did not even let the other interviewer talk or ask any questions. This is a good organization and a good role. But God help the person who gets hired in this role!
