First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SourceFuse.
Angular Developer
So, the first part was a hackerrank machine coding round, which I passed and moved on. The next round was a technical interview. The interviewer wanted my cam on, but she had hers off. It felt like she was reading questions I found online, and the way she asked them was super confusing, like I had no clue what she was even asking. Even though the questions were really unclear, I managed to answer all but like 1 or 2, but still didn't get selected. No idea what she was looking for, and she even wrapped up the 45-minute chat in just 20 minutes.
- Could you explain lazy loading?
- What are interceptors in Angular?
- Describe dependency injection.
Product Manager
I was contacted by the recruiter for this role, but I couldn't attend the interview. The recruiter gave me a hypothetical product and asked for 5 major research topics including GTM, product improvements, UI/UX, a year-long plan, and new ideas to benefit the company. I submitted the assignment late by 2 days due to an emergency, which I had informed them about. I found it very difficult to complete the assignment amidst the emergency. However, the recruiter never replied, not even a courtesy response. Please don't be arrogant and waste candidates' time and effort to get free ideas for your product.
- Could you outline the overall product roadmap for the next year?
- Create a hypothetical product, identifying five key research areas such as Go-to-Market strategy, product enhancements, and UI/UX design, complete with a year-long strategic plan and innovative ideas for company benefit.
Full Stack Developer
I got a call from SourceFuse and then they sent me one assessment. After clearing the assessment round, there was one technical round. In this technical round, I answered almost all the questions except 2,3 easy ones. Then the interviewer asked me an easy DSA question and I solved it within 5 minutes. The interviewer then asked if I had any questions. Since I answered most questions, I knew the result, so I asked what the next round was about. After a week, when I asked for feedback, HR told me the feedback was not positive. I didn't understand how they evaluated me, I am really disappointed with the interview process. The company needs to monitor interviews so it's not entirely dependent on interviewers' feedback. It's like, 'Oh, you think you are selected,' but that is totally my choice (rejected lol).
- Basic questions on React, Node, and JS, plus some output-based questions and one easy DSA question.
- How to print the occurrence of characters in a string with spaces and then sort them.
BI Developer
Got a call from HR about the job and then started the interviews. The whole process took about 4 days, but the offer was on hold waiting for client approval. I got the offer letter 20 days after clearing the interviews.
- SQL coding questions including window functions, joins, and group by.
- Python coding questions focusing on Pandas and Numpy.
- Questions about your previous work experience.
