The hiring process involved two rounds. The first was a 40-minute Teams interview. This was followed by a 60-minute in-person meeting with both HR and the initial interviewer. There was also a 30-minute Excel competency test. The first interview focused on my CV and information about the company, while the second was more about handling different scenarios.

Met a board of managers all at once who asked a bunch of different questions. A couple of them seemed a bit too junior for their jobs and I don't think they really understood the role enough to confirm its business value. Glad I interviewed though, and got to see the culture, which was a bit different than I thought it would be.

The interview process at Sonoco was awful, rude, unprepared, and unintelligent. The interviewers seemed unqualified, looking at candidates with derision as if they were random strangers. They appeared inexperienced, acting as if they had never interviewed anyone before. When asked about the position, they provided blank stares and no intelligent answers, indicating their lack of qualifications. Despite their unpreparedness, they seemed offended by any surprise at their questions. After the second interview panel, I decided not to proceed.
