Behavioral Other

I had an interview with the store manager and key holder for about 30 minutes. It was pretty relaxed, and I felt comfortable after a bit. They mentioned they'd call me within a week if I got the job. It actually took them 9 days to call, which made me think I didn't get it since I'm not very patient. I ended up starting two weeks after that call. The store I work at isn't super busy, so it can be slow. If you prefer a faster pace, I'd suggest looking into busier locations like Irvine Spectrum or Beverly Center.

Technical Behavioral Other

The interview process started with an online qualifier test. This was followed by a phone interview with an HR associate and then a phone interview with the VP of HR. After that, I had an in-person interview with the Regional and another in-person interview with the VP of Stores. A phone interview with the COO took place next. Finally, there were two more follow-up phone interviews with the VP of Stores. The whole thing felt like it went on forever. The interactions with the HR associate and the Regional were really unprofessional, but the interviews with the VP of Stores and VP of HR were interesting. They seemed really worried about people leaving quickly because they have high turnover. They didn't seem focused on finding someone who fit the company culture.

Behavioral Technical

I found the job on a job site and applied online. A personality test called People Answers was used to assess candidates. Since I had taken it before, my application moved fast. About a week after applying, the HR team from the home office contacted me for a 1-hour phone interview. A few days later, the same HR rep called me back to set up an interview with the District Manager. A few days after that, I had that 1-hour phone interview. About a week later, I met the District Manager face-to-face. A week after that, I had a phone interview with the Regional Director. A few days later, the HR rep called with an offer, which I accepted.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Questions are generated by the People Answers site and are specific to potential challenge areas identified for each candidate.
  • Standard questions included inquiring about the typical customer demographic for the stores.
