BDR
My interview experience was quite strange, and the recruiter was pretty rude. They ended up telling me I didn't get the job because I didn't click the accept button on the interview invites, even though we had scheduled and agreed upon the times. It felt like they were looking for mind readers and judging candidates on arbitrary, uncommunicated expectations rather than actual skills.
- What are your motivations for wanting to join Showpad?
Sales Development Representative
So there were four parts to the interview process: first, a screening call, then an interview with the manager, after that there was an exercise which involved a presentation about how you'd find a prospect and what we could do for them, and finally, a last interview with a more senior staff member.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
- Describe a time you encountered a challenging situation.
Product Designer
The whole process had three interviews, and you had to pass each one to move on to the next. The first one was basically a meet and greet, making sure we were on the same page and that I still wanted to go for it. The second interview was my chance to show off my past projects to my potential future coworkers. We talked about my goals, what it's like working at Showpad, and pretty much anything else. The final interview was with my manager and the head of product, who I'd already met in the first round. It was pretty chill, and they basically told me I had the job if I wanted it.
- Tell me about your work process.
- How would you adapt to business decisions?
- How would you adapt to changes in timelines?
IOS Developer
The process started with an HR call, followed by an interview with the Engineering Manager. Then, I had a tech task to complete, and finally, a live review of that task with two senior developers. The whole thing took about a month. I actually passed almost all of it, but they didn't proceed with me because I'm from Ukraine, and they apparently don't want to deal with the paperwork. I even explained I have a refugee visa and am legally allowed to work in Poland, but they just said they'd contact me if anything changes. They should really state upfront that people need permanent residency before wasting time on tech tasks and interviews.
- Can you tell us about your soft skills?
- Can you explain what you did and how you did it for the tech task?
- During the live review, please explain your tech task and your approach to it.
