It was a long and very detailed interview. It’s a panel interview with 3 people on the panel, and they ask mostly situational questions, so be ready to talk about your experience with examples and details, showing how you did in certain situations and tasks. Each question is pretty long, but they give you a paper with the questions (around 10) printed out, so it’s easy to look at and see if you missed addressing any details asked. Dress professionally and arrive 5min early.

The interview was online and despite emailing twice within a week for meeting details, I only got a response 5 minutes after it was supposed to start, and the info was wrong so I couldn't join. They also made me do a task, which I knew about beforehand. It seemed like they just wanted free work instead of assessing skills. The questions were pretty basic, and the whole thing felt unprofessional and unhelpful. I knew within ten minutes I didn't want the job and was glad I didn't get it.

The interview process started about 1-2 weeks after I applied, and it was held online via Zoom/Teams. It wasn't a super tough interview, and the people interviewing me were really nice. They asked some basic stuff and then some questions about how I'd handle specific situations, like dealing with team conflicts or what to do if a project deadline was looming and the work wasn't ready.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Imagine a team project with a deadline. If you realized two days before the due date that the work wasn't meeting expectations, how would you handle it?

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was smooth and very efficient. It included a panel interview with standard questions, a teaching demonstration, and then an interview with two people. It was incredibly professional and well-organized. The teaching demo lasted about 20 minutes, and there were volunteer students present to participate. The students were well-selected and engaged - there were no hecklers, but there were also some quieter students to test the professor's engagement skills. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I was impressed by how quickly it moved!

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you explain why teaching is the right path for you at this point in your career?
