Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sheridan College (Canada).
Administrative Assistant
It was a nice environment. There was 1 round with the recruiter and someone else. They asked 3 questions: introduce yourself, how to deal with problems, and what's the hardest thing you faced in university. Also, 2 questions about the accounting industry.
- What is the FIFO in tax?
Administrative Assistant
I applied for the job on Sherdian Works and then had a panel interview over Microsoft Teams. They sent me the questions about 30 minutes before, which was good. Everything went well, and I got an offer the next day.
- Describe a situation where you collaborated within a team and the outcome of that experience.
Administrative Assistant
It was a phone interview, followed by two more rounds with HR and the manager. It wasn't too tough to get through, but you really needed to nail those behavioral questions, which were kind of a drag. You could totally prep for them beforehand though. Everything was done over Teams, so no need to actually go into the office.
