The interview process was really easy and straightforward. I texted the HR on WhatsApp, and she told me I got selected for an interview. Then, she scheduled the interview and gave me some dates to pick my time slot.
- Could you describe a past project and any difficulties you encountered?
- What's your strategy for enhancing the user experience of an existing application?
- What draws you to AI, and can you share examples of its application in your work?

The interviewer and HR seemed skeptical about hiring older candidates, making the screening process feel like a waste of time since they seemed to have already made age-based judgments. The recruiter even tried to extract information about how to do things, knowing they wouldn't hire me anyway. This organization appears quite disorganized, with hints of internal disagreements among business leaders. The interview felt less about capability and more about assessing obedience, with a question about suitable leadership styles, which felt out of place given the Singaporean work culture where conformity is often expected. It's hard to rate the difficulty because the focus wasn't on skills but on compliance. My advice to young people is to avoid this place as it can be a negative influence.
- What leadership style do you think is most appropriate?
Intern
It wasn't very intense. You just need to talk about yourself, your background, and what you're committed to. The questions are all pretty standard. If you're applying for Finance Roles, just be ready for questions on Debit and Credit or even about systems.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your commitments?
- Are you prepared for Debit and Credit questions?
- Are you prepared for questions about systems?
FP&A Analyst
The interview started with a cordial intro and handshakes, but then there was an awkward silence. The interviewers seemed unsure of who should start and avoided eye contact. It felt like they hadn't reviewed my resume and didn't know why the interview was happening. They also struggled to come up with questions. It was strange that all three interviewers seemed unprepared. The whole interview lasted only about 8 minutes, which felt disrespectful given I took time off work and traveled for it, not to mention the prep time. If there's no interest, a virtual interview would have been better.
- Can you introduce yourself and give me an overview of your resume?
