They emphasized a lot about needing someone with advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle a lot of work. They were a bit vague on the career path they have in mind. It seems like they're primarily looking to fill a role to get tasks done.

Behavioral

The interview process involved 2 rounds. The recruiter and HR were quick with scheduling and pre-offer prep. The entire process from the first interview to the pre-offer stage took about 1.5 weeks. This pre-offer stage included agreeing on compensation and a reference check. However, getting the final approval from the hiring department took over 2 weeks. The recruiter and HR kept following up, and after 2 weeks post-pre-offer submission, the hiring department stated the compensation was over budget. This is unprofessional because the compensation was already agreed upon with HR during the pre-offer phase, and a reference check was completed then. Also, all other interviews were declined and job search was paused for the last 2 weeks since the candidate was in the pre-offer stage. Furthermore, the agreed compensation had already been negotiated down, and after 2 weeks, they expected further negotiation.
