Sales Representative
You are interviewed by 3 people and they don't have the answers. The last interview, the lesson doesn't have more of the answers. One of them you have to record yourself.
- Can you discuss your sales experience?
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
- Please record yourself answering questions.
Consultant
The interview process was on the harder end of my experience. It involved multiple rounds. First, there was a one-on-one video interview to screen out most candidates. Then, a second interview over the phone with another recruiter. Finally, a management interview. After the final interview, it took about 2-3 days to get a job offer. The offer stage included a complete background check, credit check, and verification of all personal information. I was impressed that out of over 500 applicants, I made it to the final rounds. I'm excited to be part of Small Business Growth Alliance.
- You'll have opportunities to practice and do a test round before recording your response to several questions.
Management Role
I had 2 phone interviews and 2 in-person interviews with a total of 4 people. I met with HR, Operations Management, the VP, and the owner. I liked that I got to meet all the management and even the owners. They also gave me a tour, which was impressive. I learned about the company, the culture, and their community work. I also learned about how long employees tend to stay there. They value a diverse culture and are accepting of people from all backgrounds who are driven and willing to give 150%. They focus on incentives and team spirit. The set hours and work-life balance were also important to me as a parent.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- Describe your management style.
- What qualities do you seek in potential hires?
Sales Manager
It started with a recruiter call about the job and salary. Then I had a call with the hiring manager. The recruiter called again to check if we were both still interested. After that, I had a "HireVue" interview to show my selling style. The recruiter called again to check interest. I asked to talk to an employee, which was set up and very positive. The recruiter then asked if I would accept the job if offered, as I was the last step. If I accepted, I would have to pay for my own flight to a week of training, though the hotel was covered. While it seemed promising, I didn't get an offer letter with the exact salary, and they wanted me to pay for the flight, which seemed cheap. It was an easy decision to walk away.
- How do you create urgency for a decision needed by month's end when the prospect indicated they need it by mid-next month?
