Product Owner
3 rounds with the hiring manager, HR, and the team. The interviews were more like conversations than actual interviews as I know them from other companies. The hiring manager was nice but had a rather old-fashioned view ('A resume without a photo is strange'). After a 1.5-month process and about half a day of talks, they decided on someone who already had SAP experience, which is totally fair, but you could have seen that from my CV with a glance even before the first interview. Overall okay, but I'm glad I don't work there.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Trainee
Very clear and organized. The assessment is intense, but you get personal feedback and it's a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing to be afraid of, but you should be well prepared and plan enough time for preparation.
- Why would you like to work at SBB?
- What makes you a suitable candidate?
- During the assessment, there were many tasks.
Reiseberater
Online application - HR email - missing documents requested - invitation online interview - video - virtual getting to know each other - recruitment - medical examination - final decision after application received (still pending).
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What arguments can you make for this job?
- Why are you interested in SBB?
University Intern
I applied to the student intern pool in early October. I had a first contact in November, in a region I hadn't selected at all. Then, I had an online interview, which went very well. The issue is that we don't know which position or department we're being proposed for until this interview. I was then invited for an in-person meeting, during which I was asked the same questions as before. Nothing new. I could clearly feel the person's disinterest at that moment, and that my interview was just a task to complete. I was then told they would hire internally, after making me wait 2-3 months for nothing, and that it would also save them money. I find this process unfair and a real lack of respect. If they had hired someone else from outside, I wouldn't have minded, but to have an internal hire and know from the start that others won't be taken is a total lack of respect for candidates' time.
- Could you share your three strengths and three weaknesses?
