First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sana Labs.
Solutions Engineer
I was first contacted by an HR person from what seemed like an external recruitment agency. However, the scheduling process was quite chaotic. The initial introductory call got canceled right before it was supposed to start, and then it was rescheduled three times within a single week. To make matters worse, the interviewers were different on each invite, which was super confusing. This lack of respect is not okay. After looking it up, I noticed this seems to be a common issue with their hiring process.
- Can you confirm your availability for the interview?
Engagement Manager
There are 4 interviews total. The first two interviews are focused on motivations, understanding the role, and behavioral questions. The third interview involves a case presentation, for which you'll have about a week to prepare. It's recommended to create good slides for this presentation. The last interview consists of fit interviews with managers.
- How would you handle a situation where you're in a meeting and everyone opposes your idea, but you know at least one person supports it?
GTM Associate
The first couple of interview rounds went well, with interviewers who were nice and seemed really into it. But, the last round with the higher-ups was a letdown. The person interviewing me seemed checked out and like they'd already decided before we even talked. Their questions felt like they were just going through the motions, and there wasn't much real conversation. If the leaders aren't going to genuinely connect with candidates, they should just skip that part instead of pretending to care and making us prep for nothing. For a company that says they care about everyone's unique background, this didn't feel like it at all.
- Tell me about something you're proud of.
Engagement Manager
So the process was: first an intro call, then a team interview where they assessed my experience and culture fit. After that, I had a case study interview. Finally, there was a culture fit interview with leadership. I'd say, make sure you have good answers ready for questions like 'What motivates you?' and 'Why Sana?'. The case study part was a bit rough for me, the interviewer seemed really distracted and not engaged when I was presenting. They were smiling weirdly and might have been chatting with others. It felt unprofessional, though the other interviews were fine.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your primary motivation?
- What do you value most in a work environment?
