First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Russell Cellular.
Sales Representative
I had a phone screen with a recruiter where they explained the job details and pay. They asked about my availability, and I mentioned I couldn't work Fridays from 8 AM to 12 PM. The recruiter stated they needed someone available at all times, and I decided not to proceed due to the low pay ($13/hr) and lack of flexibility.
- Can you confirm your availability for all days of the week and holidays?
Sales Manager
It was a typical phone interview, and then I had a follow-up interview with the hiring manager. We talked about my previous experience, sales coaching, recruitment, and people leadership skills. They also discussed the district and shared a lot about the company and how it started.
- Tell me about your multi-unit experience.
Sales Consultant
There was no management, and they didn't seem to care about the frontline staff. There are no chances to advance. You're overshadowed by people who are just trying to maintain their power. The outcome is what they want, rather than training and developing a team.
- Can you tell me about your wireless experience?
Store Manager
So the interview process started with an email questionnaire, then a quick phone call, and finally an in-person interview. Overall it was a pretty straightforward process, and they were really good about getting back to me and keeping me in the loop. The pay isn't great, but there's commission on sales, and they do offer benefits, which is nice. The work schedule was a bit unusual, like 2 days on, 1 day off, then switching weeks.
- Can you share an experience where you encountered a difficult situation?
