Behavioral Technical Presentation

We had an assessment day that included an interview and a presentation. The interview was split into two parts: the first half focused on my past experiences, university projects, and other relevant activities, while the second half was technical, covering the engineering industry. The presentation was on a technical topic, followed by some questions.

Presentation Behavioral

I had an interview with two senior staff members via Teams for about 80 minutes. It included a short presentation on how I would approach consulting a client at Ricardo. I put a lot of effort into preparing for the interview and presentation, and I felt it went well. However, the recruitment department completely ghosted me, and I never heard back from anyone at Ricardo. I tried sending multiple follow-up emails and making calls, but they were all ignored. This shows a total lack of respect for both candidates and employees. Don't bother applying.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So for the Emergency Responder job, there are like three main parts. First, HR gives you a quick chat to go over your background, why you want this job, and if you seem like a good fit. Then, you have a longer video call with the hiring managers. This part has questions about your skills and technical stuff, and they might give you exercises or role-plays too. Lastly, there's a shorter chat with a director or senior manager. They just want to make sure you're a good fit and clear up anything else. The whole time, they're looking at how you know chemistry, how you solve problems when things get crazy, and if you can talk clearly when it's an emergency.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Were there any general behavioral questions asked, particularly about the skills mentioned in the job description?

First you gotta make a video introducing yourself, then there's this Hazard Analysis Assessment thingy, and finally, a face-to-face interview. It's all about showing off your skills, figuring out risks, and just talking to them directly. They wanna know what makes you tick and how committed you are.

  • What's your interest in the railway industry?
