Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview, and then an in-person panel interview. At first, I thought it was going well because they responded relatively quickly. However, the whole thing turned out to be a red flag, a hassle, and dishonest. I applied for a job in San Diego, and the recruiter was 10 minutes late for the phone interview. They kept changing the time for the in-person panel interview, which was inconvenient for me. The recruiter didn't even show up on the day of the interview as promised. The CSR leads I spoke with were nice, but that's about it. When I followed up for an update on the role, I had no prior notice that the recruiter no longer worked for Revvity, only an email saying they had left the company (even though they said they'd get back to me that same week). Thanks for wasting my time! Ghosting a potential candidate and not maintaining open communication in a professional setting is very unprofessional, which is ironic given that department mostly communicates with others. You'd be better off at a different biotech company that's upfront about its hiring process. Thank goodness I avoided that situation.
- How do you deal with stress?
- What contributions can you make in your initial 3 months with us?
Biotechnician
It was a pretty chill and straightforward panel interview. I really enjoy it when interviews feel like engaging conversations. The interviewers were all very friendly and made me feel welcome. They asked a pretty standard set of questions, and a lot of them were about my resume, so definitely be ready to talk about everything on there in detail.
- Could you expand on your previous research experiences?
Senior Scientist
I went through 5 rounds of interviews for this one-year, fixed-term role. It felt like a lot for a Senior Scientist I position, usually this many rounds are for director roles. Four interviews were online, and one was in-person which required a presentation. Some interviews felt repetitive and could have been skipped.
- Can you give a presentation on a subject related to this role?
Sales
The interview process was straight forward, first a meeting with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, then the Hiring Manager and finally a member of Senior Leadership. The Talent Rep and Hiring Manager were nice and eager to tell us about the role and answer our questions. The Senior Leadership member was a bit rude and made it clear they wouldn't hire anyone with an operations background.
- Can you tell me about a recent sale you're particularly proud of?
