First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Revolution Medicines.
Scientist
The interview process at RevMed is fast-paced and technically rigorous. It starts with an HR screen and a 30-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager. Then, there are two 30-minute "Zoom Coffee Sessions" with team members. Even though they have an informal name, these are structured 1-on-1s to get you ready for the on-site. The on-site involves a 45-minute scientific presentation with a 15-minute Q&A. After that, there are back-to-back interviews with the team and cross-functional partners. The company really likes deep scientific debate and schedules interviews quickly. However, the post-interview experience can be a letdown. I was ghosted after the on-site, and even after following up weeks later, I never got a clear answer or response.

Programmer/Analyst
Interview went well, positive experience, hiring team is awesome. HR recruitment is horrible, poorly communicative, rude, not responsive. Got verbal offer and then no communication later, then I sent a FUP email with my expectations. Few days later received email with rude language stating that they are going with other candidates
- Are you able to handle tight timelines?
Communications
It was a pretty involved process, like 10+ interviews with different people I would work with. Some days were on Zoom, then one whole day was onsite. I didn't make it to the CEO/COO interviews. The recruiter called me live to say I didn't get the job but they want to stay in touch. It was a good experience overall.
- What's your approach to establishing the company's LinkedIn profile?
Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition
This was for a contract Sr Mgr TA ops position. I had a phone screen on Oct 17th, which went well. The recruiter said I'd hear back in 24 hours, but I didn't. I followed up after 5 days, then again after another week, with no response. I figured out the answer by then, but last week I emailed the recruiter and coordinator one last time to say I was still interested, still no reply. Today, 11/21/2024, I got a standard rejection email. It's one thing to get rejected without speaking to anyone, but I gave him my time, which is valuable, and he set a timeline. The way you treat candidates reflects how you'll treat employees. With 20 years in TA, this whole experience was embarrassing because I still care about the candidate experience and basic human respect.
