First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Reputation.
Marketing Manager
So, first they looked at my application, then I had a call, either phone or video. After that, I had some in-person or virtual interviews. I talked to managers, people on the team, and HR. There were some tests in one of the interviews. It all went pretty smoothly, just like I expected.
- What is your biggest weakness?
Salesforce Administrator
The recruiter first contacted me on LinkedIn but then ghosted me for a week. I ended up applying on their website without further contact. Two weeks after the initial outreach, I had a call with the recruiter, which was pretty standard for these types of calls. They had a list of questions but seemed uninformed about the role itself and couldn't answer my follow-up questions. Next, I interviewed with the hiring manager, and that was a great conversation. Then, I interviewed with a VP who spent most of the interview (28 out of 30 minutes) detailing reasons why I shouldn't work there. He left time for only one question at the end. I spent the weekend thinking about this unusual interview approach and was planning to tell the recruiter to withdraw my application when I received a rejection email the following week. Their hiring process seems to hurt their company's reputation.
- Tell me about a time using the STAR method.
- What are your Salesforce Administration skills?
Manager
Applied for the role and got a quick response from HR, who sent similar emails multiple times within a day. I only replied to one. An HR screen was set up, followed by an initial Zoom interview. HR then asked about my availability for the next interview but didn't follow up. I guess I could've nudged them, but if HR is this disorganized now, I dread to think about them messing up my health insurance.
- Can you tell me about your past employment?
- What software packages have you worked with?
- What is your experience in implementing processes and procedures?
Data Scientist
HR gave me a Machine Learning Task. Then, there were two technical rounds focusing on Data Structures and algorithms, and a basic ML question about the task. After that, I had a round with the manager. I actually thought the manager could have been a bit more experienced. I was rejected because of np.vectorize and Dask packages. They didn't ask any ML questions in the managerial round. My advice: prepare np.zeros, np.ones and brush up on libraries and optimization rather than data science, as the manager is mostly familiar with that. Don't stress about ML.
- I had to complete an ML coding task.
- They asked about Binary search.
- There were questions on basic data structures and algorithms.
