Customer Service Representative
The process was pretty straightforward. First, I filled out an online application for the advertised job and sent in my resume. If my qualifications matched the job requirements, I received a call to discuss the role further and then decided if I wanted to accept the position. That was my experience. There's a fair amount of reading and paperwork involved.

Account Executive
The interview process involved multiple interviews, with continuous communication via phone and in-person meetings. I met with practically everyone, even the janitor. The interviews mainly focused on grilling candidates for leads. The questions were repetitive. There was a lengthy negotiation regarding salary and PTO, although I was initially told there was no room for negotiation, only to find out later that a less qualified coworker received more than double the PTO. After accepting the offer, I realized they conduct interviews weekly as a lead generation tactic. People take time off work without pay and go to great lengths, even traveling from out of state, to attend interviews for positions that don't actually exist.

Technical Recruiter
Had a quick phone chat with the hiring manager before they set up an in-person interview. Met the hiring manager for the new division and really liked them; seemed like a good, reasonable person. Then met their boss, and it felt different, like good cop bad cop. The interview ran over the scheduled hour, and I had to leave for another meeting, which they didn't seem to appreciate. They asked me to come back to meet another team member. I met with that person a couple weeks later and enjoyed it again, felt like we'd work well together. That interviewer mentioned the higher boss would call me later that week about next steps, but I never heard back. Reading Glassdoor reviews, I have to agree the overall vibe of the place isn't great, despite liking a couple of people I met.

Contractor
I started by talking to someone at RemX about what I wanted in a job. Then, I did a quick video where I answered questions about how I'd deal with different workplace situations. After that, I interviewed with a company RemX recommended. The manager there explained the job and what to expect, and then I shadowed someone to see how it's done. They asked if I felt I could do the job, and I said yes. I heard back about getting the job less than 20 minutes later. It was a chill, friendly, and fun vibe.
- How would you manage a challenging customer?
