Leasing Agent
It was an extremely long interview process for a leasing agent position. There were 5 interviews that took place over 2 months, which is quite a lot. I even had to interview with the Director of Marketing, who is in a different department than leasing or operations. While it's a reputable company, they seem disorganized internally and act like they're better than others.
- Can you describe your background and previous experience?
Development Analyst
The application process was heavily based on networking and wasn't uniform. I was rejected after the first round, which involved two junior team members. The first round was entirely behavioral, and at the end, they inquired about my Excel modeling skills.

Intern
I had a phone call with HR first, and then went straight into two 30-minute interviews back-to-back. They gave me the rundown on the job and then asked some standard questions like introducing myself, why I'm interested in this position, and about a past failure and what I took away from it.
- Can you tell me about yourself and why you think you're a good fit for this job?
- Why are you interested in this particular role?
- Describe a situation where you failed and the lessons you learned from it.
Community Manager
I went through 3 interviews with the company and found the whole process to be really organized. What struck me as odd was that in the final interview, the interviewer couldn't provide a clear assessment of the property's performance. It made me question the purpose of the meeting, especially after three rounds, if we couldn't get into the specifics of the property. Although I didn't get the job, I had to reach out to them to find out why, and only then did recruiting respond to my inquiry.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Property/Community Management?
- How would you describe your leadership style?
- What is your approach to Customer Service?
