I went through the interview process at REI and met with a number of interviewers. They were all really thorough and professional. The questions they asked were detailed, but I was able to answer them. I was impressed by how many long-term employees they have and how little turnover there is.

The first interview was purely technical with direct questions. The difficulty was manageable given my experience. I was asked about my availability for a second and final interview, but the recruiter went silent and never responded to my follow-ups. It was a really bad experience; I would have preferred a rejection.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. Mostly 3 or 4 members sat in the interview panel and asked plenty of questions. No complaints about it. Once I succeeded there, they asked me to attend a manager round. After the final round, they took a lot of time to get back to me. After that, they called me and started bargaining about my salary. First, they reduced 10K from what I submitted earlier. I accepted, they took another one or two weeks, and they again reduced 10K more thousands, I accepted it as it was remote. Again, they took another week, I tried to wake them up through my emails. Then finally, they called me and said market conditions are bad and told me to reduce another 10K, totally reducing 30K from my actual proposal pay at the time of profile submission. I said I will take it as my contract was getting over and I needed to grab some offer. Then they took another few days and told me the company is not interested in hiring me as they have budget constraints. They said they would get back to me once the position was available again, then I told them I didn't prefer this company again. This is not professionalism at all, and they kept me waiting for more than a month, a waste of time for taking multiple rounds of interview... I'm happy for not working with such unprofessional folks.

I applied online and got a call from HR. Then my first round was scheduled. The first round was a telephonic round where the interviewer asked me questions about security, process automation, and triggers. He gave me some scenarios and asked me for the best approach. I got shortlisted for the next round. The next round was with two technical people who asked questions about configuration and customization. They also gave me a scenario and asked me to write the logic for it. I cleared that round too. The next round was with the Delivery Manager who gave me some scenarios about delivering a project when teammates are unavailable. I cleared that round as well. The last round was with HR, where she asked some general questions about me.
