Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at REI Systems.
Java Full Stack Developer
I had an initial phone screen with HR, followed by a technical phone interview. During the technical interview, they asked many basic questions about Java, Angular JS, and REST. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward after this stage. The HR person was nice enough to call me to let me know about the decision.
- Regarding REST, what does the abbreviation stand for and what are the differences between PUT, POST, and GET methods?
- Could you list and explain the different types of Data Structures available in Java?
- Can you describe Angular Directives and explain Property Binding?
Java Developer
It was a very professional interview process. A recruiter first reached out, then there was a phone interview. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview which included technical, analytical, and behavioral rounds.
- What are your core Java skills and knowledge?
- Can you elaborate on your J2EE experience?
- How do you approach analytical problems?
Java Developer
My internal recruiter was super helpful in setting up everything. I met with some Java developers who asked me technical questions and gave me a worksheet with some problems. The problems included Java code and database queries. After that, I met with the manager to talk about the company and benefits.
- Solve the Java code problems on the worksheet.
- Solve the database query problems on the worksheet.
