Server
I talked to two different managers for this role, and they both mentioned how competitive it is. They mainly asked about my serving experience and if I can upsell guests. Other than that, I'd say it's easy if you have experience.
- Regarding your experience, do you have X years?
- Tell me about your serving experience.
- Can you upsell guests?
Dishwasher

- Why are you interested in Red Robin?
Server Bartender
You'll have two interviews, first with a regular manager and then with a General Manager. They'll ask about your availability, hours, and past experience. Personality is usually key for server and bar roles, and you'll typically start as a server before moving to bar work. They make hiring decisions after the second interview. The questions are pretty straightforward, with maybe one about your life goals being the only exception. It's generally a relaxed process.
- What achievements and goals do you have in life?
Hostess
I was left waiting for 30 minutes after the interview time, while she was talking to another manager about family. Then, she barely asked me any questions about my work experience or training, or my availability. She asked at most three questions before telling me she was interviewing 20 people a day and had already hired two. She told me she would get back with me and then left without even shaking my hand. Very unprofessional.
- How many years have you worked in the food industry?
