Went to the first interview, it was pretty basic stuff and the questions were straight forward. Then they scheduled a second interview with HR, but they never reached out to me. When I asked them, they replied saying the position was filled! It's not about not getting the job, it's about the fact that you don't cancel an interview with no notice. They fire employees for this, and you're supposed to be the example, not the excuse!

So, it took 4 interviews and I had to travel back and forth from NY to PA. References were checked after my second interview. At my 4th interview, they told me my references weren't that strong, which was weird because my previous supervisors never even got a call from HR. They then said they didn't really need management but were just seeing if anyone could blow them away, and if so, they'd offer a job. It felt like a runaround at the end. I've worked for big food companies in Times Square and Bryant Park and passed all interviews except the final one with the HR manager. It wasn't worth the hassle, and I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone. I liked the restaurant and the people working there day-to-day, but the corporate office was a huge letdown.

I am still in the process of interviewing. The last interview is scheduled for this week. I've spoken with the recruiter about 5 times and am meeting with the District Manager for the second time this week. I also spent a couple of hours with the store manager to observe operations. It seems very professional so far.
