First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qorvo.
Design Engineer
Good company 3 steps interview. Medium to difficult question. If you have RF background, these will not be very challenging. Not too much of behavioral interview. Some questions were related to EM software you know.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Explain Maxwell's equations.
- What are S parameters?
Software Engineer Intern
Had a 30 minute MS Teams interview with the hiring manager and two other people from the team. We went over my resume and talked about stuff I'd done before that might be relevant. The manager asked some behavioral questions, and the other two asked some questions about the job requirements to see how I think. It was a pretty chill interview, and everyone was really nice.
- Can you share an experience of working in a team and the lessons you took away from it?
Analog Design Engineer
An engineer asked me four questions about circuit analysis. He kept his camera off and didn't seem interested in me or my resume. When I walked him through my circuit analysis step-by-step and checked if I was on the right track, he just wanted the correct answer and didn't seem to care about my thought process.
- Can you analyze this current mirror circuit?
- What about common source amplifier analysis?
- How would you analyze a source follower?
Pricing Manager
Went through about 4 interview rounds, each about an hour long, with HR, my direct report, stakeholders, and peers. Was told there were 3 more rounds to go. I had to keep chasing HR for updates, and the whole thing took almost 2 months. Every 2-3 weeks when I followed up, they'd say it wasn't finalized or the manager was busy. Finally, they told me they'd already offered the job to someone else. The questions were okay, not too hard, not too easy, and each session was about an hour. They asked a lot of questions about scenarios to check my thinking, how I handle stuff, and if I get the business.
