It was a 30 minute online interview with the department manager for an entry level role. They asked me questions about my knowledge of the products offered and general knowledge questions such as Investment Linked Policies, the definition of a par fund, full life term, and Excel functions.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Be careful with the company name as they use different ones online, so do your research. The job description was misleading, focusing only on HR duties and not mentioning the mandatory insurance exams and a two-year commitment as a Financial Advisor (FA). This felt like false advertising. The first interview is online, lasting about 50 minutes, with subsequent interviews conducted in person. The in-person interviews primarily involve a briefing on the role's responsibilities and earning potential, which seemed structured like an MLM scheme, emphasizing sales and recruitment bonuses to attract candidates. During the third interview, it was revealed that candidates must pay for four insurance exams themselves and pass them on the first try, which is unreasonable, especially since employment isn't official before these exams. When I declined the offer, they pressured me, claiming it's lucrative and that the FA requirement is only for two years, which I found hard to believe. They should stop trying to recruit fresh graduates into FA roles.

It was a pretty straightforward process. First, HR reaches out and sets up a call. Then, you connect with the hiring manager. After that, the actual interview process kicks off. Overall, it was a quick and easy interview, a really chill and non-stressful experience.

There was a 1st Zoom interview with Michael Chen's PA. They asked some basic questions about us and our expectations. They mentioned a 2nd interview if we passed. In the 2nd Zoom interview, we went more in-depth about some things asked & answered in the 1st interview. They mentioned there's a 3rd interview (face to face) if we passed this. During this interview, the proposed salary & benefits (base salary + performance bonus + minimum benefits) did not match the range I said in the 1st interview. I mentioned that I hoped for more but will think about it, and ended up not getting to the 3rd interview.
