First, there was a phone screening with a recruiter from the company; then I met with two associate directors. The recruiter's call was pretty basic and lasted about 15 minutes, though it was tough to hear because they were in a noisy place. The associate directors were really nice and asked the kinds of questions I expected.

Case Presentation Behavioral

After the first phone screen, I had 2 rounds with 2 interviews each. The first round had a mini case/context interview and a take-home assignment. I had to build a deck and present it in the interview, followed by a Q&A. They told me the third interview needed to be rescheduled for early the next week, but I never heard back to set a new time. I followed up but still no response. It was frustrating because I put a lot of work into the deck and case prep, and I was really excited about this role. The lack of communication was unprofessional and disappointing. Transparency is important, and ghosting candidates is unacceptable.

Recruiters reached out. 5 interviews total. Started with HR, then two 1-on-1s with Senior Engagement Managers where I presented my portfolio. Next was a case study with a Senior Engagement Manager and a Partner, followed by an interview with a Lead Partner. Since I'm a generalist manager, the focus was less on specific technical details and more on soft skills like presentation style, workshop facilitation, and managing stakeholders and teams.
