Software Engineer
I cleared the online test. Then there were virtual interview rounds, but I couldn't proceed further. The recruiters were highly unprofessional. After the online test, they scheduled the first round. I told them I needed to reschedule because of an emergency. I followed up with emails and calls, but they never replied to my emails or picked up my calls. Then they sent a generic rejection email. I really doubt the company culture if they don't even care about candidates during the initial stages.
- Tell me about skills used in your previous company.
Account Executive
Started with a call with the recruiter, then spoke with the hiring manager. After that, there was a panel interview with three regional VPs, which involved two deal reviews and a lot of questions. The next stage was supposed to be a chance for me to ask questions, and dates were given for this. However, this stage did not happen, and I was not contacted. I reached out to the recruiter after two weeks to ask about the timeline and was told I had not progressed. It was a messy and poor process.
- Can you describe two successful deals you closed?
- What competition did you face in those deals?
- What is your reason for leaving your current position?
Senior Software Engineer
It was a 4 round process. The first round was a 15min phone screening where they asked about improving code quality and my approach to challenges. The second round was a 1-hour technical interview covering resume topics and scalability, with many RDBMS questions. The third round was a technical interview with two architects, focusing on explaining my current project end-to-end and answering follow-up questions. The final round was a techno-managerial interview with the hiring manager, covering debugging, agile, daily tasks, and my experience with DevOps pipelines. I really liked their process; it felt more like a discussion than an interview, with smiles and a clear explanation of the product they were hiring for (about 10 min). I was impressed.
- Can you discuss Java features relevant to your experience?
- What has been your experience with the Spring framework?
- Describe your approach to application deployment.
Product Marketing Manager
I applied with a referral and first met with the talent coordinator. The interview was pretty basic, and they asked very specific questions about my experience, like the year. Then I was rejected. After getting over that, I was asked to speak with the hiring manager. The questions were all behavioral, like 'Have you worked with X team before?' which was easy. Then I was rejected again. I emailed the talent coordinator to see if it was a mistake and for an FYI. He basically blamed my lack of experience.
- Can you tell me about the cross-functional teams you've collaborated with in the past?
- In what year did you work with a specific team?
- Have you had prior experience working with a particular team?
