Behavioral Technical Presentation

The hiring process took about 5 weeks and included onsite meetings in San Francisco. Questions focused a lot on personality, except from the CRO. Here's how it broke down: Recruiter call (2 parts), CRO, Sales Engineer, Marketing VP, HR, VP of Data Operations (ONSITE), CRO again (ONSITE), and finally the CEO (ONSITE). While the meetings themselves were fine, the whole experience left me feeling negative because: they rescheduled a lot, sometimes last minute; they pushed me to do a video call when it was supposed to be a phone screen; they gave me unclear guidance for the onsite, saying I just needed to 'learn what I need to make the decision quickly,' but it turned out to be more interviews; they didn't properly cover my travel expenses, not even for rideshares; and they asked me to come to SF on short notice because it fit their schedule, which felt inappropriate unless they were already set on offering me the job. To top it off, no one followed up to thank me, and the recruiter just said they went with someone else without any feedback, which I told them was unprofessional.

Technical Behavioral

After clearing the initial two interview rounds, I was told by HR that I'd need to come into the office for a collaborative session with the team. They said I wouldn't need a laptop, and that an offer would follow this session. However, when I got to the office, I was unexpectedly put through another technical interview, which I wasn't prepped for. This was odd since I'd already done a 3-hour technical interview in round two. The lack of info about this extra technical part was confusing and annoying. I feel like candidates should be told upfront about every step to avoid confusion and make things smoother. A more streamlined and clearly communicated process would be better for everyone involved and make the company look good.
