First, I had a phone chat with a recruiter, then a zoom call with the head of the department. After that, I interviewed with the department lead and an employee who was retiring. The last interview was in person, and it included lunch and meeting the rest of the staff.

I applied online and got a phone interview the next week. It was 30 minutes and asked about accounting and finance. The second round was in person. They asked behavioral questions about the role, then gave me a case study and a financial document to analyze. The whole process was pretty fast and not too hard. The recruiters were really helpful and nice. You need to know finance, accounting, and how to use Excel.

Technical Behavioral Case

The interview process had 2 rounds. The first round was a screening and checked my Excel and Accounting skills. The second round had two parts: a standard behavioral interview and an assessment skills test with a short case. The interview was pretty long, around 3 hours, so make sure to block out enough time. They did offer refreshments, which was nice. Overall, it was a great and smooth process. Management seems to really care about potential hires and wants to find someone who will fit well into the company. The whole thing from applying to getting the offer took less than a week, they move really fast. It seems like P&N isn't a company for people who aren't motivated.

The phone interview was nice. They asked some thought-provoking questions, but we had a good conversation. I'm in Houston, but the company is in Louisiana, so I'd need to travel for training, which sounds good. Waiting to hear back about a face-to-face interview.
